Ap Applied and I-94 expiring

Gurus,
If one applies for the AP.
and I-94 is about the expire shortly. And Ap is not approved
before the I-94 expires.
what needs to be done in this situation?

Nothing,

if you are in AOS, have EAD and used AP to travel.

Even if your AP or I94 expiries, you are in Status by virtue of AOS.

AP is for entering into US.

You can apply for renewal of AP, as needed.

I am not sure about H1B/EAD/AP.
