AP application supporting documents???

Gurus,
I was filing for Advance Parole (I-131) electronically, and got stuck at a point where it asks the following:

"On a separate piece of paper, please explain how you would qualify for an Advance Parole and what circumstances warrant issuance of Advance Parole."

Now what is this? is it mandatory to send the explanation? can't I get a blank AP without having to provide the evidence/reason for travel? I want to travel to India just to see parents and relatives. So what explanation should I mention?
Please advice....

I am not a guru but I am happy to share my experience. I just typed a letter stating that I was applying for a multiple entries advance parole to be able to return to the US after temporary travel abroad without abandoning my I-485. I was going to go on vacation and to visit family and friends and that an application for adjustment of status is pending. I did the same format letter during my 1st AP application and it was approved without any RFE within 2 months.
