Could someone explain what "Class of Admission" meant on AP application form I-131?. I'm on H1B1 status but has filed I-485 application as a derivative appricant (My wife is primary applicant). I planned to apply for AP soon. My lawyer says that "Class of admission" should be 203B3A1 since i'm a derivative beneficiary of a skilled worker with pending AOS. I'm not sure what this code is, even after searching the internet. I thought it should be my current status, which is H1B1.
Can someone please shed more light of this?. Thanks.

Class of Admission for you is H1B....your current immigration status. If you are using EAD to work, then your class of admission would be 'AOS'.

Just for your reassurance - I have filled AP forms myself with H1B as class of admission and they have all been approved.

AP "class of admission"

Thanks for your response. I very much appreciate it. I only wonder where my lawyer got this wierd code from.

Thanks once again.
