AP and H1B visa stamping

Hi All,

I have a valid H1B visa approval for my H1 visa. However, the H1 visa hasn't been stamped yet on my passport.

I recently received my AP document as part of my 485 application. I intend to travel to my home country this month and am confused about the direction to proceed.

Specifically, If I use AP to re-enter the US without getting my H1 visa stamped at the consulate, will it nullify my HI and force me to start using EAD?

I have heard conflicting views on this. Some say its fine to re-enter US on AP without stamping and still continue on H1, while others say its better to get H1 stamped.:)

I don't mind getting the H1 stamped, its just that i would rather skip the process if its not needed.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Agreed. If I were you I would go for H-1B visa stamping - if for some reason I do not get that stamped, I will use AP to re-enter.
