AP and EAD renewal applied more than 9 months ago! still nothing

I have applied for my 3rd EAD and AP renewal on 2nd February, 2006 and have not received them approved yet. It has been more than 9 months. Every time I apply for EAD and AP it takes for ever to get it. Can anyone explain me why it takes more than 9 months to approve renewal? I already have initiated three queries and all of the responses are just nonsense. I have received temp EAD and AP from local office but will expire in 4 months. Does anyone have similar experience?

Hi

Do not wait for the EAD approval, just file one more EAD before 90 plus days of the expiry date of your interim so that you could atleast go to local office and try for one more interim. As we do not know what's happening with the service center once so thing is delayed they keep on sending some nasty letter.

Wow, 9 months is an unbeleivablly long time for approval. I am not sure there is anything else you can do except for initiating enquiries and getting the interim EAD.

Look at the bright side, though. During the time the EAD is pending you get to keep extending the temporary EAD for free. I have to apply for renewal of EAD after 9 months, and it costs more and more each time. All you need is to get the temporary extended for FREE. Yes, if they start refusing to extend the temporary EAD, then you have a problem.
