AOS with/ without interview

Hello Everybody. I heard about some cases which had not interviews. Two cases with people that came with the B2 visa and others with k1. They received GC without interview. Also I heard that the USCIS waived most cases. Is it possible?

My case is, I received the EAD, AP and made the Fingerprinting, code 3, approximatly 2 months after applied to AOS. My fingerprinting was made in October 2006 and, after that, I didn't receive any other information from USCIS so far. I called the FBI and they said to me that everything was sent to USCIS, fingerprinting and that probably my name was already cleared. What are they waiting for?? They didn't call me for interview. Could be possible I have luck?? eheh I hope so.

Heh. Your fingerprinting was done in Oct. 2006, and you are complaining that in Feb. 2006 your case is not approved? I understand your impatience, but will you please share the secret of the time machine?

Seriously, file status inquiry, perhaps? Just might push your case enough to get things done - although I wouldn't count on it less than 1 year after I-485 being filed. Then again, some people DO get lucky.

guess you meant Oct 2005 , otherwise you will have to share the story on the time machine...
I did my FP in August 2005 and got approval on 485 on 01/06 , also my PD was current in Dec 2005 and TSC was processing cases 25-30 dys after the Receipt date of my 485 ...
So if your PD and your Processing center is current then you will have your approval with in 1-2-3 mths , if not then you will have to wait until your PD becomes Current ..visit the visa bullentin board and see where you at with your PD , that's your first start then to USCIS and see Processing date where you filed Service Center ..

does it also apply to those xferred cases to the local offices once your PD becomes current and you will be expecting an approval within 1-3 months?
 
The processing are faster since Jan 2004

Dear All.

Please Everybody, I am not complainning and just not understanding when you have all the steps ready. I know that we have a big line but, I don't know if you already know that but since Jan 2004, all the old systems were modified to Computer system, making the process faster than in the past. Also, since Jan 2004 they modified the centralization of the process, oppening other branches, avoiding the delay as in the past. They are promessing for who apply after Jan 2004, the processing times for less than 1 year. I have seen some cases in this time already.

My friend applied on Oct 2005 and they called her already for the interview, that she has in April. She will have the fingerprinting one month before the interview. I don't know if she will get the name check on time of the interview.

I applied on July 2005 and nothing yet.
