AOS vs CP (country China) - what to consider to make a decision?

Hi Gurus:
My I140 just got approved and am in the process of deciding whether to go CP (China) or AOS. Any advice on what factors to consider to make the decision? Thanks in advance!

I would suggest you go AOS. It\'s quick and safe at this time.

If you are confident on your job security in the next 6-9 months, then you may go for CP. Otherwise AOS is safer way everyone has taken so far.

To yao huf: AOS is adjustment of status (485) while CP is consular process. The fundamental difference is that you don\'t need to leave US if you choose to go AOS. However due to the backlog at service centers, it takes longer to process AOS cases. Hope this clears your question
