AoS Pending, filing for CPP through spouse's I-140, fee for CPP

Folks,

after waiting for 5 months to arrive my I-140 (for CPP) at NVC from CSC after approval, I (with my family) switched to AoS on April '02. Our current staus is AoS pending.

My Spouse received I-140 (CPP) approval through her employer, also just today her attorney received bill for paying fee from NVC.

Would like your inputs on the following questions (I plan not to take services of this attorney for my CPP):

1. With AoS pending, can we in parallel proceed with CPP also? What are the possible problems due to this, with pending AoS and in CPP interview ?

2. Planning to send the fee to NVC at the earliest, could you please let me know is $325 is per family or per person?

3. If it is per person, should we pay fee for all four of us now itself to NVC or just pay fee for primary applicant to NVC and pay fee for dependents to Consulate during interview?

4. If we should pay for for all four to NVC, should I send 4 seperate cheques or all in one?

5. Whom should the cheques to be made payable to?

Here are the answers!

It is theoretically possible, since the primary applicants are not the same person. However it is more expensive. There are no other problems. You may inform the INS once youget your GCs from CP to abort your AOS.

It is $335 per person; you must pay it to NVC for all dependents at the same tme.

4. If we should pay for for all four to NVC, should I send 4 seperate cheques or all in one?
5. Whom should the cheques to be made payable to?

You may send one check payable to the DEPT OF STATE.
