AOS pending- come back to US after landing on H1 or AP ?

Hi,

I applied for Canada PR in April 2002 and my passports got stamped . I have to land in Canada by Nov 2004.
My AOS is currently pending - got EAD and AP .

Presently I am working on H1 visa and my passport is stamped till Feb 2005.

My question is -

If I change employer say in another 2-3 months and join them by EAD, can I come back to US showing previous employer's H1 stamp ?
I am worried reading about other people's post who are entering USA on AP .

PLease help.....

I would appreciate if all those people who came back to USA on AP and H1 visa after landing , post their experiences .
This wud be of great help.
