Well today we had our interview at 1:30PM. We had all of our things together and we even went and printed about 18 more pictures to show with the about 100 or so that we already had.
I pulled up and found parking; because the building is downtown you have to find street parking. I put 2hrs on the meter and bent over to get the picture albums and it started pouring down raining. We ran into the building and headed to the 3rd floor. After checking in with security we both headed to the restroom to dry off.
We arrived at 1:20PM. After drying off we had a seat and were waiting. I closed my eyes because I was very tired (I go to Columbus State, and work a full time job) my wife started saying to keep my eyes open because they may think that I am lying :) I started laughing and told her that if anything it would show that I am relaxed and not worried about what is going on. After about 20 minutes a short very thin lady came out and called my wife’s name.
Well this started me thinking about all of the things that we went over last night and getting all of the names right. I was not worried about most of the questions that my wife was going over to me, because the answers comes second nature. The only thing I was worried about was he brothers name, because it was hard to pronounce.

Well we got back to the office and she informed us what office to go in, and we did. There was some kind of meeting in the next office and it was pretty loud, and she stated that she was sorry for all of the noise. She then asked us to spit out our gum that we had in our mouth and then told us why she has everyone do that. About 5 minute details of what people do when they have gum in their mouths.
Well I spit my gum out and she put it in the interview letter and throws it in the trash.

She then asked for our picture ID's and I asked if she wanted my SS card because they are not on ID's anymore. She stated that she did not need it and then I put my ID on the desk, my wife was going through the paper work to get her ID. The interviewer then asked me could she see the pictures that we bought with us, while she waited for my wife’s ID. I gave her the 2 picture albums and she opened one of them and turned the page, and then opened the 2nd one and then closed both of them.
She then asked for my wife’s passport and asked her if she had been out of the country sense 2002, and my wife said no. She then asked her if she was a terrorist and a few more questions to that nature.
She then put a check beside all of the questions that she asked about terrorist.
She then said that was all she needed and everything was looking good, and that we would get a letter in 3 to 6 weeks. We then got up and left.
We were in the office for all of 8 minutes if that. And she took most of that time to tell us about the gum policy. She never looked at more than 5 pictures, and she never even picked up our ID's off of the desk.
She didn't ask me not one question (well she asked for my ID). She asked my wife about 15 questions in all and that included her asking for her ID and passport.
I had put 2hrs on the meter and when we got back to the car, the meter still had 1hr 37 minutes on it.

It was very quick and nothing like my wife or I thought it would be. But we are very happy to get it over with and get on the way with the rest of our lives.
