AOS Interview Concern

We had our initial AOS interview for pending I 485 two years back. The interview went fine. At the end of the interview the officer said that the descision on the case cannot be made because FBI Name Check was pending. After that we moved to a different state. Last week I received another interview notice. Is it normal to have a second interview if the first went fine because we moved after the first interview?. Please share your experiences if you have the same situation.

Thanks in advance.

I believe it is normal for this to happen if you move before your green card is approved. I have certainly heard of this happening to other people.

Hi:

You were likely "approved" by the officer at the first interview, subject to clearance of the name check. Once you moved, your case was transferred to another district office. It is common for officers not to summarily accept the findings of other officers, especially officers from a different office. Hence your being called for another interview.

Take all the necessary evidence. There does not appear to be anything unusual about your situation. Best wishes.

Not sure if you're joking here, but presumably by moving a few houses you haven't moved out of the jurisdiction of your DO, so I would guess you wouldn't have another interview!

Well i moved a few houses down the street will i still have a second interview?

Hi:

Surprisingly, the best answer is "maybe." But this answer really has little to do with your moving down the street.
