AOS Interview and Removal of Condition

When filing for removal of conditions two years down the road and for the Adjustment of Status interview coming up, do all bank accounts need to be joint? We currently have a checking and savings account that is joint but my wife also has a checking account where I am not included where she pays her credit card debts from before marriage automatically from her paycheck and puts the leftover’s at the end of the month into our joint account.

Also, she has a credit card and small savings account I am not a joint owner currently but we are hoping to close the credit card account after paying her debts on it and move the savings over to our main savings.

Given the amount of the debt she has, paying off the debt and closing the separate bank account and credit card accounts can take a while and might last past our AOS interview and removal of conditions and wanted to get some advice as the current arrangements mean less things to change at the moment and also helps manage our debt better with the two separate account arrangements.

All bank accounts don't need to be joint. You can keep one joint account, and the other accounts separate.

Or you can keep no joint account at all, if you have enough other things jointly (e.g. joint lease/mortgage, joint car ownership).
