AOS (I-485) at NYC I-551 stamped but Status still pending on the system

I had my AOS interview on 15th Feb 2006 at NYC. I-485 is based on marriage. Its already more than 90 days the status on the system shows pending. I was approved after the interview and the officer stamped my passport with I-551 stamp valid for 1 year. He said i would receive my GC in 4 weeks but its no where in sight. I haven't even received any approval notice or any welcome letter. Sent wrriten inquiry after 60 days and also after 90 days but no response. Took an info pass appointment and spoke to immigration officer. He made me fill inquiry form and said i will get some communication in few weeks. I had also file G731T and send letter to Senator and Congressmen but no luck.
Attorney has been trying to get status update but not successful.
Anyone with similar experience? Any thoughts on what could be going on.

same here, for us the status has not changed since last Sept, when file got transferred to the local office, since then we had our interview back in Dec 2005 (EB2-PD Aug'02 - affected by retrogression) PD became current May, went to Manchesetr, NH satelite to Boston DO; got new pics submitted, got approved, got approval letter dated the same day on may 5th saying will get a physical green card within 10-20 business days. went back to USCIS May 12th, got I-551 stamped on passport; Officer said this was as good as a GC, didn't get anything till this past monday the 21st, called the National #, lady said it will take at least 30 days before they send either WELCOME LETTER or GREEN CARD.
Asked me to call back after 30 days from May 3rd (date of approval) Don't really know what to make of it!!!

June 19th finally there is a status update online saying your welcome notice was mailed on June 16th 2006.
Now i am waiting to receive it. Also there is an update on i-130 saying approved on june 16th 2006.
This is finally getting over i guess.
