Hi, my wife and I have been married for the last 20 years and we have two children, 19 and 5 years old. We moved to a border city in the US 7 years ago after living in Mexico. She has a B1/B2 visa BCC which she has been using to back and forth so technically she has overstayed many times for a week or two since we go frequently to Mexico. Her Visa expires in a month and I'm filing I-130 and I-485 with related forms. Once I send the forms she will no longer go back to Mexico, but by the time the USCIS receives the forms she would have been out of status and her visa will be expired. What are the consequences of this? and if removal is imminent, is there anything we can do to stop it?
