AOS finally approved, sighhhhhh

got an infopass for today cuz i wanted to know abt my case (want to travel for the hols), at the counter the nice lady told me that they JUST approved it and that i should get the card in 14 days!! i was smiling the whole day..... :D

at 9pm got 6 emails saying that they mailed the welcome notice and approved the I-130!!
 
Congratulations!!

However, to everyone else, I don't think candyattitude's case was being held up by the FBI. I had my I130 approved a couple of years back but my namecheck is still being processed. If the welcome notice came at the same time as the I130 was approved that suggests that the I130 approval was the last thing tio happen in this case.

Congratulations Candyattitude!!!! :D i m new here its my first post and i m patientely waiting :) so far i havent received any rfe, ead or interview just the same LUD. none of my LUDs have changed msg :eek: they all say : Current Status: Case received and pending.

On September 18, 2006, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

oh well i m just gonna wait but it seems that new york cases are going way faster than the dates posted by the DO that list way far back :confused: i cant complain though hopefully i ll hear something soon. my details is below in my sig! :)

If possible, can you post the text of your "welcome notice" email? I got the email on Friday but the text was not what other people have received in the past. I wonder if they have changed the text. You can read the email I received at http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=233332

Eric, they recently changed the wording of all the case status information online. The updated versions now are 50% more confusing talking about the Missouri Service Center and ADIT processing (still have no idea what that is).
 
Thanks...I just did some more research and it seems like many people are confused about the new version of the approval letter. But again, English is just my 7th language...maybe I am just not getting it right :)

I've been getting the same message as you do, ever since my interview back in September. I think it's an outdated message, but don't take it for granted. Anyway, good luck to us who are still waiting patiently. It's holiday season, we should have high hopes for good things to come, right? ;)

aww thank you AMG_Driver i feel better i was so wondering why the message never changes lol yes lets keep our hopes up and i wish you good luck too to you and all that are waiting! but that would be such a great christmas present! i keep you all posted too cause so far no rfe, ne ead and no interview :confused: and they received my case since sept 18 but let s hope for the best and thanks again! This thread is reassuring and gives me hope!
 
hey thanks for all the great wishes!! well kitoko, that's how it was for me too, same msg, i'd also check the online case status and it wouldn't move, so that's why i took the infopass......and my case wasn't held up b/c of FBI namecheck, i didn't not use a joint sponsor, but used assets to meet the affidavit of support requirements, so they told me to wait for something in the mail (and i just waited and waited.....)

i really think it might be to fill some year-end quota, or maybe they want to wrap up the 2006 cases (less work after the new year)...i have no idea...but i'm not complaining!!!
