Anyones NameCheck got cleared recently?

Hello,

Has anyone had there name checks cleared in the past few months or so? Just want to see if there is any progress on that front. Now that some of us are affected by retrogression the FBI shouldn't be getting many new applications. Hopefully they are making progress on the pending ones.

Please post if your name check has been cleared recently.

i dont know about my namecheck but i think there is such a huge backlog that retrogression wont make a big difference in their speed!
 
My wife finally got her name check cleared....

After having waited for more than two and half years, my wife finally got her name check cleared in FBI. We got this message last Friday from local congressman's office, from which we got a lot of helps with the respresentative of the congressman's calling to FBI. My name check got cleared about a half year ago. But because my wife is the primary applicant, we have to wait and it's really a heartbroken, painful waiting process. We felt like having fallen into a "black hole". Now, we are being thrown into another big "black hole" - retrogression again. Our I-485 RD is Dec. 2002 and now the processing date for us is May 1, 2000. There is still a long way to go and we really don't know when and where we will reach the other end of this dark tunnel...Let's keep peace in heart and keep our heads up.....
 
Well, I feel sorry for you for waiting such a long long time. I read it from somewhere and it says the worst thing this person did in his life is to apply a US GC. Is it really worth it? I don't know.
 
Me and my wife had Biometrics code 3 for the first time. How will I know when my name check is complete ?

Hi willgetgc2005,

Biometrics has nothing to do with your name check. Biometrics is called for by the USCIS and name check is handled by the FBI.
If you know ur application is pending name check then you can research this forum to see how you can inquire on its status.

Anniversary of sorts

Today I am celebrating my 1st anniversary since my concurrent receipt date.

Peaceinheart, I recently contacted my local congressmans office. They have taken some information from me and said they would followup with the FBI. Lets see what comes out of it. Just because of delayed name check today we are affected by retrogression. I want to atleast jump this namecheck hurdle.

Please post if you have had your name check cleared recently. Gives everyone some hope.

Really makes you wonder if its all worth it. Wouldn't recommend anyone to go through this GC process.
