My case is transferred to local INS(Baltimore) on 06/04 and now I am waiting for my ID.When I filed my I-140 I had opted for CP and Mumbai as my consulate. However later I decided to go the AOS way and filed I-485 in Jan 2001. I or my attorney never recevied Packet 3 from NVC till date, however the automated message says that it was sent to the attorney in Dec 2000.
I have read NSK and NANDIT BARUA having the problem at Baltimore interview because when their file was transferred to Consulate in India and INS did not retrieve it back, although it is supposed to do do. I fear that I might have the same problem when I go for my interview in 2/3 months time.
Do anyone of you having any experience with such a situaion or can suggest me what should be my next course of action. My attorney keeps on saying that do not worry and that INS Vermont would retrive the case back from Bombay, however I do not believe now. Can you tell me if I should contact NVC/INS/Bombay and ask them to transfer my case back to VSC or just pray that it would be done by itself.
