I just got my NL in the mail yesterday and quite confused what to do. My CN is 2010AF00070xxx
Here are my main concerns/questions.
1. Has anyone with such a high CN # ever successfully got a GC?
2. I'm in the US and in legal F1 status so I think I can do AOS. Most people say CP is faster and more adviseable but I talked to a lawyer today and he told me it doesn't matter if I do CP or AOS because you get called when your number becomes current regardless of CP or AOS. Any ideas on this?
3. My visa is expired but my I20 and I94 are current, but I'm afraid if I do CP I won't be able to come back if I'm denied or don't become current.
4. I know that declaring intent to mmigrate will put my f1 status at risk. Will just sending the first letter back to KCC be declaring my intent to immigrate and will it put my status at risk?
With such a high number, is it even worth trying???
