Base on the following details, is my case unusual?
I-131/I-485 Received Date: 03/02/04 (Spouse U.S. Citizen)
Interview: Aug 2005
Was told: 'approved pending security check'
It has been 2 years and 3 months since filing application....
Wrote to Ombudsman, Congressman and the Interview Officer. No luck yet!
Anyone with similar circumstances?

interviewed on sept 04, still waiting for THAT background check. Now I received a new appointment for an interview next month after almost 22 months of the interview. I heard there are few ppls . who have been waiting for their GC after interview for more than 3 years. Welcome to the Waiting Game.
