Pls post if you travelled using Canadian PR card issued after Aug-2002 using valid AP by British Airways.
I read in britainusa.com , that canada PR holders do not require transit visa.
I have my return trip via London. Generally what british airways ask when someone is in my situation.
Do i got to purchase tickets to Canada to use my PR card ? Or the combo of AP and PR card will waive me off from transit visa and allow to board flights to US.
Any response is appreciated.

Now how about stamped PP with 485 status and having Canadian PR card ?
AP has already got invalidated on Nov-24 after 485 approval.Do i still need transit visa ?
Very unlikely i shall receive the plastic card by end of January, just confused.
Its an arduous task to get someone in phone at British consulate to clarify doubts.Wonder if i have to board flights from Canada to get transit visa waiver ?
If anyone in the same boat , pls let me know.

BTW, I went thru all these..................
http://www.britainusa.com/visas/other_show.asp?SarticleType=25&Other_ID=313

Exemptions:
1) You are exempt from this requirement if:
You are travelling to the US/Canada and hold a valid US/Canadian visa (example) and also hold a ticket to the US/Canada routed via the UK.
2) You hold a USA Permanent Resident Card issued on or after 21 April 1998. To calculate this subtract ten years from the expiration date on your Alien Registration Card (example).

3) You hold a Canadian Permanent Resident Card issued on or after 28 June 2002 (example).

This is where the confusion is.It says ticket routed to US/Canada.Doesn't clearly mentions with Candian PR , one can board flights to US w/t transit visa or vice-versa.
It needs exact clarification.

Finally got a response from british consular official i New York thru email after a 20 days wait !
If you are on AP/"ADIT stamp for I-551 processed" and have a Canadian PR card issued after Jun-28-02, you can board flights from any cities in US to third country via London without transit visa. You are waived. britainusa.com was not clear if somone with Candian PR card could board flights to London from US with transit visa waiver.

Note : They aren't entertaining ADIT stamp for I-551 processed. To get a transit visa waiver you need plastic G. Card or posess the one above.
