Anyone with A number start with T got approved?

I start wondering if those whose A number starts with T have been put into a separate (slower) category. My attorney said it\'s only a typo, but I doubt.

By the way, my case info:

EB1 (China)
RD 12/22/2000
ND 1/10/2001
FP 4/13/2001 (done twice: 3/17/2001 and 4/13/2001)
EAD approved per AVM on 4/18/2001 but not received it yet
AP 3/2001
I-485 waiting and tired of it

i am one who got the T number. i dont think this is a typo. on calling the IIO she said that this was a temporary A#, and i dont know why. i have seen one person on this board who got a T number but did not go for the second FP, got his approval. i am still waiting.

So any one know what is this temp A # thing? My 485 receipt notice has a real A # on it. FP notice has T #. If it\'s temp, it should be T in 485 receipt notice because FP notice came out later, right?

Did you remember any thing anormal (e.g., long delay) in that lucky guy\'s post?

I have an A number starting with T too - I thought it was because this is my second GC application - I had given up the earlier one three years back when I reentered the US after a long absence. I had not come across any other people with this before seeing this post. Incidentally, I am in EB1 too, with an RD of 11/7/00 - and still waiting for approval, although FP was done in Jan.

Yes - I definitely think it should be approved by now - unfortunately, the INS doesn\'t think so:-) My WAC is 01-025-xxxx - the AVM says that the application was received on 11/07/2000 - I am starting to get really envious of many others who have reported getting approvals with RD\'s in Jan 01 - all that I can do is hold my breath and call the INS number every evening - only to hear the same message every time! :-)

I got a second FP notice a few months back which had a T#. I didn\'t go for it since it had not been 90 days from my first FP. I got my 485 no problem.

I only have one FP notice and it has a T# on it. My FP appointment was one month later than my wife\'s. It seems that all my cases (140, EAD, AP, FP) are mush slower than others and even slower than my wife\'s even though we filed together. I started to wonder if this T really means something (bad). Hopefully not.

I\'m sure the T doesn\'t mean anything. I had exactly the same thing as you with my FP during 485. I am the primary applicant and yet received my FP notice almost 3 months later than my wife. We filed in August 2000 with a RD of Sept 18, 2000. My wife did FP in November, I did FP in early January 2001 and we received the I-485 approval notice Mar 22, 2001. My first fingerprint notice had an A# and my second had a T#. I did not do the second one as it was only 2 months since my first FP. So I wouldn\'t worry.

I have seen a lot of couples where one receives the FP notice months after the other person. I think that the computer is screwing up the generation of FP notices and either sending the second one out late, or possibly not even sending out the second persons FP notice and for these reason they are automatically generating temporary FP notices to cover these slippages.
