Anyone waiting for Charlotte NC office for an Interview?

Hi. I have applied for my green card on July 27, 2007 after I married a US citizen (from a H1B status) and haven't gotten a notice for my interview at Charlotte, NC.

Initially, I lived in Southern California and have received an interview notice on 11/15/07 for 1/31/08, but I cancelled it on 11/20/07 because of our move. I've been going to Infopass appointments and calling the 1-800 number to check if they have our address etc.. correctly. It all seems fine, except we just don't get an interview.

Is there anybody in my timeline or even before ours waiting for an interview letter? Please share your experience with us!

7/27/07 Sent the application to Chicago
8/26/07 Received a letter of receipt
9/12/07 Biometric appointment
11/10/07 EAD approved
11/15/07 Interview scheduled for 1/31/08 in Santa Ana, CA
11/20/07 Cencelled the interview in CA during the Infopass appointment, Updated address
12/27/07 Infopass appointment at Charlotte to check in- nothing seems to be happening.

Hi nontandayo
I am also having application filed for GC. My DO is charlotte
I think its little early for me for IL notice, but expecting soon to hear something. When I compare my timeline with others, people are getting EAD and also IL notices for other DO.
keep in touch, I'll update my information.
I think Charlotte is one of the slowest office due to only one in the NC. There is opeining of other DO in raleigh Durham in March 2008, as announced last year July 2007. If this office open in time, we will see fast processing
 
Don't feel bad guys! Washington DC DO is the slowest by far. Several of us filed back in July 2007 and Washington DC currently is working applications from Dec 2006. Hang in there. :cool:
 
Hi there. I am very very excited to hear about the new district office in Raleigh Durham! I live in Durham, and I had been wondering why they don't have an office here.

With the tech industry and large universities, I think this are has the biggest needs for immigration services in North Carolina for good reasons. Hopefully we get an interview in the new location!

Dakazn, I don't think your time line is slow.. You applied in November.. so even in other district office, people in general get their interview appointments around the 4th month for the actual interview in the 6th month from the application.

I called the 1-800 number a few days back, and they said that Charlotte office is working on applications from June 1st 2007. Good luck and keep in touch!

Thanks for the information about the durham office. Wow, the office is right at the research triangle park! Let's hope that it opens this March:) Again, thanks for the great information.

Lets hope for this....I live 10 minutes from this new office
