Anyone suceeded in getting docs attached to the file, when sent without RFE

Folks,

I saw at least one person who sent the docs and still waiting.

Anyone really suceeded, experience?? how long it took

Does it affect negatively?? why

Yes, I did.

We forgot to include proof of ability to pay with I-140. So, what I did, I made up a sheet, which looks like RFE cover sheet and typed header in all caps "REQUIRED EVIDENCE FOR I-140 CASE" :)) in 10 days got an LUD saying "RFE response is received :) In 10 more days got real RFE, after responding to that got approved.

No, RFE was to prove my years of experience. Ability to pay never came up :)
 
In similar matter: - I didn't submit medical for my wife and me. Also, we didn't have my wife's birth certificate at the time of filing for I-485. Do you guys think, I can send these documents (both of us' medical and my wife's birth certificate) now or wait for an RFE? If earlier works then why to wait for an RFE and waste time? My filing center is Vermont. Let me know how to get documents attached to my file like what letter do I need to type in while sending docs to USCIS, what file number if any or A# to mention in there?
 
I doubt for medical if you should take a chance

bcos if it gets lost then you can't easily get that again...even if you went for a medical again besides the money you shell out, the reports may be different and cause confusion...your call..

I sent docs to VSC about 3 weeks ago without RFE. I still haven't got any response. :mad: :( .
I only said " supporting docs for I485", I did not say "required evidence". Maybe this is the reason.
Should I try to send the same docs again using REQUIRED EVIDENCE? I thought VSC should have records when they issue RFE and then match it when you receive the evidence.

any ideas?? any more successful stories?? :confused: :confused:
 
think right now they are loaded with June fillings, you may want to watch for 1,2week

thanks. so, you think I should wait another 1 or 2 weeks. It take that long for VSC enter my docs into their system. I called several days ago. my docs haven't been entered into their system yet. Is this beacuse I wrote "supporting docs for I485", not "Required evidence"? will I get a confirmation as SLT got??
 
my notices came after 3 wk, one can only try...., share your exp

no not RFE or docs, the applications sent were opened after 3 weeks and I probably recd notices after another week. having said that it is not a surprise that 3 weeks have passed for unsolicited docs. how often you open that kind fo mail at your home...

did you have the special envelope for REF? what the RFE cover sheet looks like? could you please let me know know? Thanks!
