RFE response received by INS on 6/19/2002.

AVM says case will take 900 to ... days. Is it normal?
How long it take to get approval after RFE ?

RFE was for W2s and paystub only.

Talked to IIO and she said it will take some time as processing is still going on for July 2001 cases. Got an RFE for my wife's case though . Still havent replied to it. BTW, does delay in spouse's case cause delay in approval ?

RD 8/1/01, ND 9/10/01 still waiting

Looks like the priority date (PD) also comes into play. Lots of August RD approvals have PD in the early 2000 range, although a few approvals with 2001 PD have also been seen.

The recent batch of approvals suggest that the INS is handling cases with PD in late 2000.

Of course, there may be a lot more dates in the equation, but I think largely this is the case.
