"Recently" as in after USCIS changed the options for the Infopass scheduler and the only way to setup an appointment now is to say that you have an unanswered SR open for more than 45 days.
I ask because I don't have an open SR right now (and they won't open another one for another 20 days), and would like to talk to an IO at Manchester. I just don't know how strict they are about checking for an SR number.
