anyone passed interview in newark on Monday(winter storm day)

Hi Guys,

Anyone went for interview to NEWARK on Monday and passed?

I passed interview on Monday and officer told me no oaths that day..:(
He also said "hopefully" by the end of the month.

Do you guys think they give us preference for oath ceremony (as it was not held due to bad weather) or do we need to go through hassles of infopass and all again? and we are at the end of the queue again?

Please advise.

They have 120 days from the date of your interview to send you an oath letter. If you have not heard anything from them by the end of 60 days, I would recommend making an InfoPass.
 
Why do you have to go through infopass?
Just sit back and wait for your oath letter at home.
Same-day oath is not a given.

I was only saying that if the OP has not heard regarding the oath within a certain timeframe, then he/she should request an InfoPass to get the status.

from what i have heard from an IO during one of my infopasses, you have to pray for a same day oath letter. once you do not get it amd you leave their premises, then my goodfriend you have come to join the queue and start counting. it shall be okay. do not worry your head off.

I was referring to the OP note "or do we need to go through hassles of infopass and all again?", not to yours.
Of course if after 120 days nothing happens, the OP should inquire.

Hi Guys,

I am from newark DO and there same day oath is a given i.e under normal circumstances if you clear interview the oath is given same day. they hold it 3times a day. My wife was interviewed and given oath the same day.

On Monday Newark had a snow storm and I believe they did not hold the oath as they were short on staff.(Although I saw the sitting area full of people who came to naturalize).

Seems like no one who follows this board was there and I am the only lucky one who had appointment that day.:(

I was just wondering if they will give us some consideration for oath since it was cancelled due to weather and no other reason.

Make an InfoPass and see if you can get the oath letter issued then.
