Anyone overstayed and then reentered again?

I'm so scared. My mother has overstayed and now wishes to go home and then come back. I'm afraid she may not be let in although she has visa.
Anyone able to get in? How hard it was?
 
Visa is cancelled once a person overstays, she maybe given a waiver at the POE, but don't count on the waiver. She should apply for a new visa.
