The case number is start with 3 letters and 10 digits number follow after 3 letters. I know the first 3 letters means the office where assign your case number but any one know what are the rest of 10 digits number meaning?

thanks,

First 3 letters: service center identifier
LIN - Nebraska Processing Center
SRC - Texas Processing Center
EAC - Vermont Processing Center
WAC - California Processing Center

Next 2 digit - year of application, such as 07 if applied in year 2007

Next 3 digits - day in the year, this would be 095 if applied in April 5

Remaining 5 digits - (My Guess) This is a 5 digit sequence number that rolls over to 00000 after 99999. Also this is simply incremented upon allocation to a particular case.

Please feel free to add here.
