We got 4 letters today (notice date Aug. 20, 2008) about I-130 and I-485 (for each parent)
"this is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing: California Service Center, 2nd flr, 24000 Avila road, Laguna Niguel, CA 92601-0111"

Anybody knows why the cases were transferred to CSC while we filed from Massachusetts? and what will happen next? by the way, nothing changed on line!

Good news for you

citizen08,

Congratulations. Lucky you. Your parents are just one step away from getting their Green cards in the mail. Once the case is transferred to CA service center, it's a good sign. Hopefully & God willing your parents won't go thru GC interview and will receive their Green cards in the mail. Good luck.

FYI. In all the threads I've read on this forum (over the past 3-6 months), no one has had an interview after "transfer to CSC". I have come to assume that "transfer to CSC" = "USCIS determined no interview is needed".

The only post-transfer issue I saw was angela1p getting RFE for missing tests on the medical exam.

In a couple of days, you'll switch to "pending at CSC" status online. No one I saw had any issues other than the fingerprint wait after "pending at CSC" status.

So in short, you're almost done....

K1 -> I-485 -> I-751 -> N-400

Now filing I-130/I-485 for parent...
