Anyone has experience/knowledge on N-470 application?

I got my GC 3 years ago. Now I am going to work for US owned company's China office. It is not a big company, has abot 60 staffs in US and 30 staffs in China. I meet the criteria of having lived in US for a solid 365 days after GC. I am going to apply for N-470 (perserve residence for naturalization purposes). Here are my questions:

1. Does any one have experience/knowledge on how difficult to get N-470 approval? such as how difficult, how long, and what critical supporting evidences do I need to submit with the application?

2. Can I leave US and start working in China before getting N-470 approval?

Do not have experience but from the earlier reported issues(remembered as far as possible--not a correct picture but an rough idea ),
It may take any where from 6 months onwards depending upon the complexity and for more evidence sought by CIS.
Generally , for private sector employment abroad,it may be asked more evidence and may be asked to justify further,for more information or documentation of the bona fides of the relationship and position for the person abroad and how it helps U.S. trade and commerce in order to preserve some of the time abroad to count towards citizenship,for example.
May be not in few cases it is asked but generally one has to be prepared with more info' in case a query raised.
Reg.leaving and woking abroad,you may need to follow the stipulation mentioned in the application--that is you need to apply 470 before lapse of 'one year' abscense,in addition to submiiting the other things as mentioned in the application, like evidence of eligibilty,affidavits from employer .
**Also,before you leave,do not forget to apply for I131(REP).
