I came to the US on a F1 and had it converted to an H1. I am going to make my first trip outside the US since then, and would like to know if you can make an appointment at the US consulate in Calcutta, and get your passport stamped on the same day. I will be in Cal for only a couple of days and therefore the "drop box" method may not be too convenient if it takes longer than two days for processing. Any suggestions will be welcome.
