I got laid off a month ago while I485 is still pending. I then started a new job two weeks ago and the new attorney filed a response using the portability provision of AC21 item 106(c) and attached a letter from the new employer.
I\'m wondering if anyone went through similar experience and got his/her I485 approved using the new law. Or the INS just simply put all these cases on hold pending the final regulations from INS HQ. Please share your experience.
