Here's my timeline so far:

PD 12/27/05
Status appeared online 1/7/06
FP done 1/25/06

The officer that took my FPs was nice; he mentioned that I should expect an interview in 8 months based on the way cases are going now. To me this sounded too long; Syracuse DO processing date is 7/22/05, and my impression is that those times are pessimistic. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone can share their timeline from Syracuse or other upstate ny DOs.

My case disappeared online 3/1. I got the interview letter on 3/3. ID is 4/13.

interesting! i just registered to find out what ceremonies are available for Albany. So far,

It seems that my application was processed slowly. Anyway, good luck. Do you know how many ceremonies are held in Albany?

hey,

everything went fine, the usual procedure. the officer was a very nice lady, she went over my application quickly, the questions were the ones from the website. the english test was merely a formality, this was she told me :D apparently because i'm a college student. at the end she congratulated me, and she told me to wait for my oath letter. she planned to make an appointment for july 21st, but at the end she told me that she made an appointment for this month. she handed me the oath letter and the form were it says that i passed the history&civics and that i am recommended for approval.

she had a calendar in there, it depends where is you city. apparently the spots fill up quickly for the ceremony.

dec/2005 - fingerprint

feb/2006 - interview

during interview- address change issue, so the officer couldnt make a
decision

may/2006(118th day after the interview)- called up the NCSC to find out
about the status - assured me that i will get a reply in 30 days

june/2006- got an email from USCIS field office saying that they cannot
proceed until they finish the background check

Oath letter/apporval- ??????????????
