Anyone from T-26 Countries revalidate visa in Canada without delay?

Hi,
I'm an Indonesian female. I've been an H1 visa holder for the past 3 years, and on F1 in the 4 years prior. I've not had any problem acquiring visas or revalidating them in the past- in Indonesia or most recently in U.S. last year.

Now I want to go to Canada to revalidate my H1 visa. I have made an appointment in Ottawa for Sep1 abt three weeks ago. The embassy hasn't cancelled my appointment or called to let me know that a background check will be necessary.

I am so worried. Is there anyone who's from one of the T-26 countries and did not have to go through the background check?

I appreciate any input you can provide.

Could you please explain what you mean by T-26 countries? Do you know whether Bangladesh is in T-26 countries?

A reply would be highly appreciated.

I think Bangladesh is also one of the T-26 countries- but do a search on it as I'm not so sure. The list came up sometime in early 2002. Males ages 16-45 from these countries had to go through a special registration, and they are usually subject to background/security check when going for a visa. But then again, I am not so sure. I am a female and still worry :-)
