Anyone ever had an interview in Tokyo? Please advise!

Hi people,

I have an interview in Tokyo this November. I have not received 2nd NL yet, and I have no idea if my question can be explained there, so... Could someone clarify on the following:

- Do I need to provide English translation for all documents obtained in Japan? Such as proof of employment, bank statement, etc. In some countries US consulates accept the papers issued in the country's official language, but I could not find anything about Japan.

- Do I need to bring tax certificates? I work in Japan for last two years and I will bring an official employment certificate from a company, is it enough?

- Will I have to present my Alien Registration Card (plastic photo ID) in the Embassy or to the consul? Could a local residence certificate (A4 format paper from the local ward office) be enough?

- For the documents that originate from countries other than Japan and translated to English, will Tokyo consulate accept a certified translation, done by someone who is not a professional translator, but skilled in both languages? As it is not advised to present an own certified translation, can a friend, who is not a professional translator, certify it?

Thank you all for your responses, if any... and good luck! We all need it.
