Anyone done early FP in Atlanta ?

Hi

I recevied my FP notice yesterday to go to Buford Highway Office. Has anyone ever gone threre and dont FP earlier than the date on the notice ? Or is that office always jammed ?

does anyone know of antoher office in the area where I could do FP early ?

And does it help to get it done early ? Any experiences ?

Many of my friends who are stuck in unending I-485 hell have done FP early in other states to try to speed up their process. So i am considering doign it early. Also I would love to be able to vote in November but that might be optimistic !

May 10 - filed N400
May 22- N400 returned, incorrect fee, fees went April 29
May 24 - Refiled with overnight mail
May 28 - check cashed
June 6 - Recevied Receipt with Prioirty date of May 25 ( so overnight mail worked)
June 21 - recevied FP notification for late July .
 
Early FP

I've read of people that have gotten fingerprinted a week early, however, it does not speed up your interview date. The interview date is based on your priority date that you got with your Notice of Action.

The Buford Highway location is extremely fast, the staff is courteous and very friendly, this might turn out to be by far the best experience of the overall process, you should be out in 45 mins. I think most FP is scheduled on Sat's for this location, but I may be wrong.

Atlanta is extremely slow atm (9/8/03), although, you might get compensated by getting a same day oath which is only offered by a handful of service centers.
