I know many of us are near completing our 540 days without any RFE or decision. I was just wondering if there are any cases who already are in such a situation and what should one do if it happens?

Thanks.

over 540 days

Well I am still waiting with a RD of Aug-9-2001. No rfe no decision.
Do not know of any procedure but one thing for sure is that talking to your local senator is a big help. As i have asked the senator for help and he is trying to figure out what is the problem. looks like they are missing some file or info. but calling the Ins did not help at all.

I recommend talk to the local senator and they will definetly help.

Cases that are already 540 days past should contact their senators.

However, I have a feeling (supported by posts on this forum) that BCIS is trying to work on cases that are near 540 days expiration, but again it really depends on the IIO reviewing the file. But if by the time IIO starts reviewing the file very near to 540 days, they are just transfering such cases to local office so that they don't get blame for
a) Not making a decision within 540 days
b) Making a bad decision if anything bad comes out about the case in future.

Holy shit

That's too bad if what Oct1RD01 said was true. :( How could they screw us up like that!!!

I agree with you oct1RD. This is what I am doing. I am writing a letter to Eduardo Aguirre the Director of BCIS. It won't make any difference, I would be naive to think it would. But I want him to read about how much anguish we are going through. I have waited 18 mths after filing for adjudication and 30 months including labor and all. And I am not the only one. If we all get together and write to him perhaps he will understand what we are going through and try and make a difference.
He is a new guy with new ideas if he urge him inour direction perhaps he will make a move.
I have losst all hope so am clutching at straws right now. But who knows the straw might turn out to be a rope!

You want him to what? to read about our problems?
Dude . . . big bosses don't read that stuff.
They have people to do that for them.
And those people are paid to firewall all the bullshit from the "busy man at the top". And they do their job well.
So, i'm sorry, but he won't be reading your letter . . .

NO RFE
Lawyer spoke with the IIO who said that my case has been assigned for final review on Feb 24 ..and I should hear something in 30 days !!

malikms,

My case is under final review since Feb 24th as well and was told the same thing by IIO when I called VSC on Feb 25th. Don't know how long do this review process takes...

Let's hope that process these cases soon.

Thanks.

Perhaps I am naive Dr_Hangup. The men I've dated sure haven't told me that before ! ;) But there's always a first time.
I'd rather do something than just sitting idly, thinking that it will make no difference. I am no hopeless optimistic trust me. But some action with the hope of a positive result is better than none. What harm does it do me, none. Do I expect something out of it - maybe. I'll keep my finger's crossed.

Just to tell you. I wrote to the CEO of Eurorail a few years back about the lack of service on his trains. He sent me a personally signed letter here in the US and a bouqet of roses along iwht it. Sure it was typed out by his secretary but he'd taken the trouble to personally sign it and followed up with some action that brought atleast a smile to my face.

Never underestimate yourself or the power of the written word.

No RFE's

Patience GC

As of today no RFE's for 485.

INS sent an Intent to Revoke 140 approval notice in August to my company and lawyer but inter cahnged the city by mistake between employer and lawyer so the notice got back to INS undeliverable. We found this in October'02 and lawyer sent a response to INS and they re-approved in Dec.
