Hi unlucky_girl, thanks for the respond...so are you under 21, and how or who is petitioning for you. I came here went i was 12 as an EWI and my step-father is filing for me, I am now over 21 and i was looking for people the same situation so that we can be a support group.

hi chromedout,
what i really meant was i had an approved I140 under employment under the 245(i) category and uscis asked me an RFE to send them a copy of the same.
that was the first question in the beginning of this thread if i am not wrong.

So i guessing that you didn't used a lawyer unlucky girl....i didn't sued one. Are you currently employed or do you sit at home like myself going crazy each day.

chromedout, what was the interviewing process was like for you, did you married a USC, or go about it in a different routhe.

21+ unmarried son of lpr, later upgraded to usc. filed the AOS packet at the end of june because that was the soonest my lawyer could see me. had about two days to assemble it before the end of the month, and the start of the retrogression. everything was splendid until the interview. the interview was fairly easy -- went through all the "no" questions: are you a communist? have you ever been deported? ever been arrested? etc. there were two missing documents from my file: the i-130, the IO allowed my father and I to fill a new out on his desk after we produced the NOA for the original one and he approved it, and proof that I had paid the $1,000 245(i) penalty. again, we produced the receipt.

I was approved, however due to the retrogression (interview done in october) a card was not ordered for me. the IO explained that as soon as my PD becamse current they would manufacture my ARC (alien resident card). the november bulleting came out two days later with positive results. went to an infopass but was told my case was pending in not so many words. returned to infopass in december and found out I was now stuck in namecheck.

got the email on the 2/28 bearing the good news. the card arrived about 6 days later.

just an interview appointment letter for the 15th of next month. Now i'm shitting in my pants again. Not quite sure what supporting doc they might need, and if my stepfather mush accompany me on the interview. Anyone with info, please advise.

yes, your petitioner must accompany you.

the letter lists all the documentation you must bring, but bring everything.

at my interview we were informed that my i-130 had gone missing. we produced a copy of the original and, of course, the NOA for it. it wasn't necessary as I had to fill a new one out that was approved on the spot, but the IO had a positive reaction.

ChromedOut, WHat year was your I130 filed. Were you over 21 then?
