Hi All
So far, this is my experience with VSC-INS.
INS delayed my finger printing by four months from Nov 2001 until Mar 2002 because it initially failed to credit my finger printing fee to my 485 application[despite crediting the fee]. Finally I got finger printed in Mar 2002 after proving that INS did indeed credit the fee.
Though INS says at least for a month now, that they are processsing the 485s filed as of Aug 1, 2002, my case never got assigned to an officer. Whenever I called IIOs, they always used to say, "yes your case is aging, we will send a note on your case so that some officer takes your case," but nothing happened until my last call to INS.
During my recent conversation with IIO at VSC-INS, she told that my case is being reviewed by an officer. Does that mean that my case has been assigned to some officer and he is/will be working on it???
