Anybody's H1-B visa re-stamping (second time) delayed at Mexico?

I wanted to confirm whether anyone applying for an H1-B visa other than their first visit, have also had to wait for various reasons. As in my personal case, I had to wait for 4 weeks while they peformed background security checks prior to having my first H1-B visa stamped on my passport at the US consulate in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The second time, last year, I was issued the visa, and my wife her H-4, the same day. This time I plan on going to Mexico for my visa revalidation. However reading all over the forum, there are varied reports.

If anyone was made to wait for name or background checks while in Mexico for 'revalidation', please share.

So everyone who has gone to Mexico for revalidation has gotten his/her visa without any problems? I have heard people have had problems (having to wait from a few days to a few months) while having their H1-Bs revalidated in Canada and also their home countries.

Anyone who has been to Mexico for revalidation and was asked to wait for name or background checks, please share.
