Send a fax to CSC explaining that ur finger prints are expiring REAL soon. Mine wasn't a Sep 01 case, but it worked for me.

Call Cust service

Call customer service at 949 389 3007 number. Some live person will help you out. They have authority to assign your file to an officer right away. As, your case is much before than JIT time frame, you might get some help like that from them.

I've tried calling this number. They have a standard answer that they have a huge back log and the fact that they are processing cases for June 2002 does not mean all previous cases have been settled.
Will keep faxing and calling up. Whats the choice???
 
call 800 number every 30 days...

Sorry to see that your case is still pending.

At some point I was also in the same shoes as you are...
ND Sep '01 - AD Aug '03...
I think calling 800 number every 30 days and making an
enquiry through them works..I feel it is more effective
than you or your attorney sending faxes. My observation
is that faxes are randomly answered where as the
enquiry through 800 number is mostly answered(sometimes
they even call you back...to tell you about your status).

Might stuck at FBI Name Check

Hi,

I am Nov. 2001 case. Attorney sent inquiry twice, officer at CSC called attorney back saying my case was forwarded to FBI for name check in April. It could take a long long time before the name check result come back depending on whether there is a "hit".

Do a search on "Name Check" on this site, you will learn more. I have a strong feeling, our cases all get stuck at Name Check.
