Anybody with I-140 pending more than a year

ND is 07/17/2002 not approved yet
Concurrent Filer on 10/10/2002

I called the National Service Centre asking about the status of my case. They said that they can only send inquiry to TSC after an year. So asked me to call back after the 17th of July. Anybody with such experince and did anyone call after an year and were u successfull in asking National Service Centre to send and inquiry, if so what is the result, any response from them yet?

Mine was applied for on 6/7/2002. I am planning to call for an inquiry, but our HR insists that during 140 stage, it is the employer that needs to track, not the candidate. Does it make sense? How does it hurt to call?

My Green Card stamp on Passport expired. So I was advised to go to the field office and get a new stamp that would extend the Temporary Green Card (stamp itself) for another year.

I was also told that the file will process during this period.
