ND is 12/17/99 and till today no sign of FP. I am frustrated too. These damn IIO\'s are very rude and they don\'t even tell whether it is sent or not. We just have to wait.

Hi,

My notice date is Dec 16,1999. And I called on IIO yesterday in order to check whether INS has issued FP. At first, the lady IIO said like your case maight be reached in two months. Then I said to her \'Thank you, of cource, I would wait until it is reached. However, I was told that many who have ND even later than me got their FP notice\'. Then the lady said \'Wait a minute, let me check for you, sometimes, bala bala bala\'. A minute after I was told that FP has been mail out Feb 12th. I haven\'t got it so far. My concern is about the letter delivery. Because I have changed mailing address and don\'t have attorney. My question is that any body who has changed mailing address without attorney has same problem. I often read from this board INS delivers letter to old address though new address has been in their record. Another question is whether post officer would forward the letter that is from INS to new address or they just simply return it back to INS(is it a rumor that post officer would not forward letter from INS to a new changed address?)

Thank you for your attention

HQ again:
Hi
This early morning, I called INS\'s officer in VM about my case of
i-485:
ID 09/28/99,
ND 10/4/99
At first INS officer said that you were still pending as other INS
officers told me before. I said
"please, wait!. As I know that my co-workers from India and China all
got Finger print notice and their ND are later than me more then
3 months."
And then she said that she would pull out my file and look at.
After a while she said that my file has already been in process for a while,
and she would send request to other department to check whether
my FN has been sent out.

I would say if you can not get your FN for a while and talk to
INS officer, you should give them some more info, otherwise
all of them will not pull out your file to check and simply give
you same answer: you are still in pending status.

I am luck that I talked to a nice INS officer.

Hi
HQ more new:
RD: 9/28/99
ND: 10/4/99

Just now I posted my resent status in other cato. I would put here
again for people who are in the same boat ad mine, like ..

As my last email described this early morning, I talked to
a very nice INS officer this morning . Just now she called me
back in my office and told me that my FN has been sent to me 2 months
ago and finger print day is next week. She will send me another
finger print notice directly to my home.

If anyone is in the same boat as mine, you should call INS again and
ask (very very nice to them) them to look at your whole file record.
And give them examples that people (later than you) have already
got FN. most INS officer usually answer that you are still in
pending status and have to wait another 60-90 days.
Last Friday afternoon, I called an INS officer, she gave this answer as other INS officer before . After just one weekend (two days) (this morning),
I called INS officer again. at begining she also said the same as other INS officers before. But once I told her my date and give her
some examples, she pull out all my record and check and found
problems.

I have company\'s atterony. But I would say :do not trust them
too much. They usually do not spend time to check for you.
You have to check by your self although they earn money from your
case. My attorney always says the same as INS officers

Good luck for you
