Did anyone get the Passport stamped in SFO office? Can you share the experience? And in the infopass appointment, seems they have added one more option ("passport stamping"). Which one to choose, "Speak to an immigration officer" or "passport stamping". Any idea?

What are the documents we should carry.?

I just had my stamping done yesterday at SFO. Do not ever go walk in. I had to wait 4 hours. They give priority to people with appointment. So, take an appointment, then you will be served in minutes.

Yes, choose the PP Stamping option - Earlier posts in this forum have suggested choosing the "speak to an IIO" option - however, that was prior to the PP Stamp option being available. InfoPASS is the best way to do this - there isn't much benefit standing in line for 4 hours and then being turned away.

Good Luck

Thanks.

Do I need to take all the previous EADs and APs (2 each). Any other documents besides these and photos? Will they return these (ofcourse no use) or keep with them?

Duh! Let me see ... You go for passport stamping ... which one to choose??
Hmmm ... duh! tough choice! let's see ...
"Speak with an immigration officer" or
"passport stamping" ... or
"Speak with an immigration officer" or
"passport stamping" ... or
"Speak with an immigration officer" or
"passport stamping" ... or

phew, what a dilema!
I don't know, I think you should ask a lawyer!

Where are you coming from dude? From Mars?????

And what documents to carry?
Well, let's see ... how about a passport? ... and pretty much everything that had to do with your immigration to USA!

And now that I unloaded my pissed off nerves ... here are the answers to your ... questions:

1. Choose passport stamping since you are doing passport stamping.
2. Take with you
- the passport
- 2 passport photos
- ALL your EADs if any (EAD = Employment Authorization Document)
- ALL your APs if any (AP = Advance Parole)
- your I-94 card (you will find it stapled in your passport)
- if for some reason you applied for an H1 while in US and did automatic AOS (I am not talking about extension, but apply again), then get the I-94 attached to the H1 Petition too.
- the printout of the InfoPASS you get after you schedule your appointment
- change for parking

And I almost forgot! The experience is GOOD!!!

LOL :) Amazing that these are the people going for EB AOS. Definitely takes the award for silliest question of the week.

USE THE SEARCH!!!!!!!

Funny.

Few people thinks here that they know "everything". I am not interested in arguing more with those *** people.

Funnies hows peoples nots interested in arguing with *** peoples still asks questions.

Also it is customary to 'SEARCH' the forum for questions that are repeated time and time again to save on bandwidth and effort required to repeatedly answer the same questions again.

I understand the search functionality exists and used before asking questions.

But just because its been asked again, doesn't mean its qualified for silliest question. People here answered gently "use the search forum" . They know the common sense of how people get excited when they receive 485 approval. ANd they also know the common sense of "how to talk in a public place".

You may be here for long time and scanned data, that doesn't give you right to curse people and make unwanted comment about their questions.

Amazing that you actually know the unwritten rules of the forum yet still persist in breaking them. Specially after taking into account your remark on common sense of "how to talk in a public place".

But to answer your question before this useless thread is locked down:
1. The silliest question of the week was awarded to your question regarding which option to choose for passport stamping, specially when one of the options is passport stamping.
2. The comment on the search functionality was for your second question on documents to carry. And don't see how it could be couched in any better language than "Use the search"

Having made the above to points, I do realize how excited people get upon approval. But I don't think it is an excuse for wanting to have someone not just put food in your mouth but also chew it for you.

I would rather save my common sense and decency for people who have genuine problems that require answers than spare it for fools who don't want to use the area above their necks (or the search functionality).

Besides as you mentioned this is a public forum and everyone has a right to respond in anyway they please (albeit with some restrictions). My lengthy presence on this forum has absolutely nothing to do with responding to your post.

Calm down, 140. I, as others may also do, respect your contribution to the forum but this response is way over rude. If it is a silly question, you always have the option of not answering it.
