This notice applies to ALL NON-IMMIGRANT and IMMIGRANT (GREEN CARD
holders) FOREIGN PERSONS IN THE UNITED STATES - a recent change in INS
enforcement of an immigration law (section 265 of the I&N Act or 8 U.S.C.
1305).

This law requires every foreign person in the United States to notify the
Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) within 10 days of any address
change. The INS will enforce this requirement and the penalty for failure to report a change in address is arrest and deportation, and possibly even
criminal prosecution.

 You must report if:
 1. You are a resident (visa or green card holder) and
 2. You are 14 years of age or older (parents report children under 18 years of age) and
 3. You have moved or your address has changed from the address on file at
the INS.

Send the letter to INS by certified mail, so you have a proof!

You must file form AR-11, which can be downloaded from the INS Web site:

No offense!! but the message was already posted

Nothing wrong in posting it again but think about if everyone starts posting it in a seperate thread, this forum would be full of same messages.........and moreoever the other thread had clearer title....of late I\'m seeing lotsa redundant messages being posted in different threads(may be \'cause everyone is anxious & frustrated)........as it\'s a public forum you are entitled to....but let\'s try to be considerate of others and follow some etiquette to make this forum more efficient........just a suggestion...

my apologies...

I quickly checked the first page of the 1485 in CSC thread and not seeing any post on it, went ahead and sent it out.
Thanx for the update.
