Iam working in US on H1 B right from June 2000 and it's going to expire on June 2006. 2 more yrs to go on but still haven't filed for GC and that means no EAD. Recently got married and my wife a filed for H1.

I think I may be on any one of these Options below.

a. If she get a job then how quick she can file for GC.? Normally what is the time period to file GC.? Or applied for GC and couldn't able to get the EAD within my 2 yrs time , what will be the position for both of us.? Any way extend our stay?

b. If my wife gets EAD, can I stay here in US after the 6th Year.? Since being the dependent, will position be subject to change based on her status.?

c. Is there is any offical report to say that how many H1B app filed sofar at INS?

It will be really great if anyone guide me in this regard.

She can file for GC the next day of joining in the job. GC = Labor + 140 + 485(or Consular process). Depends on the state(Labor processing is delayed in many states) you may get EAD in 2 years time.

Yes...Even if you don't get EAD, your stay will be legal once you file your I-485. But can't work legally till you get your EAD.

I don't have any idea on this.
