Anybody help me? Green Card restarting

HR people told me that I need to restart with my GC since I will be relocated to another state to do a project.

She told me she got this information from the new lawyer (company pulled off my files from the previous lawyer and send them to a new lawyer) and company\'s legal office. Their excuese is that my LC is not filed as "roving employee". Does anybody knows if LC is filed as some categories such as "roving employee" or others? I never heard of it.

I told my HR that I will keep my residence in the state where my LC got filed and just work in the new place. HR use the "roving employee" excuse.

I think my employer\'s headquater is not changed and I don\'t need to restart it.

Can anybody help me for this issue? Thanks!

quit the company

If you feel your company is not being forthright, quit them immediately and dont waste time there. I did that myself.

Look for another company and use your own lawyer if possible.
if not make sure that the company has a good reputation with GC.

How far in the process was your LC??

Where are you presently located and which area are you moving to. If it has reached the DOL and the present SESA falls under the same DOL as the new then try to talk to the Lawyers yourself and see if he can make it work so that the app doesn\'t has to be restarted. On the other hand if your app is still with the SESA and the center processing is very slow there then see if the processing in the new SESA would be faster than present one. If yes then I would say switch SESA location and let your company re-apply.

Good luck

I already got my LC approved.

They said due to the relocation, they will restart my LC. But my LC just got approved recently. I am waiting for them to file my I140.
