Guys please help me out!
My mother in law applied tourist visa but her application got denied on the basis of overstay. In October 2000, she visited US and when she entered the port, the officer stamped her I-94 for one year, so when she stayed over six months, no extension was filed as she could officially stay for 12 months. The problem is my wife didn't make a copy of her I-94 so when immigration officer at Consulate claimed that my mother-in-law overstayed in U.S illegally, we had no proof. Please advise what we could do to get this resolved. Your help is greatly appreciated!
