anybody has not got FP?

Hi all,

Just want to ask if there is anybody out there with 485- ND: 10/8/02 and have not got any FP notice? It has been so long and I am not sure why I didn't get any FP notice at all. Should I contact BCIS and ask them why?

Actually this is a Good thing ...

because you will not have to do a second FP 15 months later and
going by the current delays most of us are getting 2nd FP's and it adds atleast 3-6 weeks more to the delay and the hassle !.

As long as you get your FP done before Sept,Oct'2002 RD's start getting approlvals you should be ok.

I was in the same boat....

I was exactly in the same boat as you.My RD is 03/22/2002 and I did not get a FP notice for a long time . In July 2002 , I called up INS( Before it was rechristened as BCIS) and they told me that it was 'coz of the revised FP fee. My lawyer had sent $25 as opposed to the revised fee of $50. I informed my lawyer about it and she sent the additional fee for which I got a recepit notice in Sep 2002. I did not get any Fp notice after that also and I called up INS couple of times and they ketp saying that the system stillcalims that I have pending fees. I spoke with the supervisor in Oct 2002 and I then faxed the notice back to them which clearly mentioned that they have got the fees. Finally I got my Fp noice in Nov 2002. But my online status still does not show anything about my FP. I called up FBI and they said that they have sent the results back to BCIS. I then called BCIS and the Service rep acknowledged that they have recd the Fp results. When I asked her about the online status she said, "dont bother about it........."
 
so, what next?

So, should we go to local INS and request for FP? Should we just wait for notice just like "eternity" mentioned?

chakmur, I hope my lawyer did pay full amount. DId you finally get FP? You should since they might review Feb case and march case in couple months ( my own estimation - one month case per month)

I did call IIO when my I140 is still pending and she said that my FP notice should come after 9 months.

But, why do they ask other applicants, who filed later days to go FP already? Something is out of sync here.

I am just afraid that when Oct 02 cases are being reviewed, they just sent me for FP, and that will cause the delay in my case.

In sync for anything is not what people could expect from INS/BCIS... Wake up Dude.
 
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH ETERNITY. THE LONGER IT TAKES THE BETTER. SO YOU WON'T HAVE TO DO 2ND FP. YOUR CASE IS NOT GOING TO GET TOUCHED UNTIL 2004. SO JUST RELAX.
