hi everyone
i posted a thread regarding my situation before, but no one had any info for me. i am wondering if anybody expereince the following situation before:
my AOS interview is coming up in sept 4th at garden city, new york. however my EAD has been denied back in june for a reason that i am not aware of yet, because i never received a denial letter. and i found out only through placing a service request for out of processing time.
now i placed another service request asking them to mail me a copy of the denial notice, but the problem is that i wont receive it until the end of sept since it takes 45 days to process. so my big dilemma is that i will be heading with my wife to our interview without knowing the reason why we my I-765 was denied. i am worried it would affect the interview, and i really dont know what to expect. i even tried to get an infopass but no appointment is available until mid-september.
thanks for reading, i appreciate your input.

Only EAD denials that I have seen in these forums is due to an incorrect form. It appears USCIS changed the form recently and any "old" forms are being denied. Check which revision date your form is and see if it is the same revision as what's currently on the web site.

K1 -> I-485 -> I-751 -> N-400

Now filing I-130/I-485 for parent...

thanks dor your reply
i am aware of this fact, however my case was sent back in NOV 2007. so i doubt that the denial is due to the wrong form being sent.

Here is my opinion on this...since you can't know why you are denied and we won't know either...the only thing you have is to go to your interview anyway. Having a denied EAD is not actually link to your residency per se. You can apply for the benefit of a work authorization while your AOS is pending...but to be approve or denied at your AOS it has to do with your capability to demostrate that you two enter in a good faith marriage and not to skip the law. The EAD could be denied for many reasons...regardless the version or whatever thing you may think you used. Did you keep a copy of the EAD form that you sent? Have you done an INFOPASS instead to wait for a service request about your EAD?

Just get prepare with all the documentation.

Good luck.

i've been thinking the same what you just said, i do have a copy of all my file. and i tried to get an infopass but the closest appointment is in the middle of september, way after my interview date. i think that i will focus on the interview and just hope that the EAD denial does not affect it.
